ZeroFlush has always been committed to stable pricing, offering high-quality, sustainable, waterless urinal solutions at the best possible value. Despite economic fluctuations, we have worked tirelessly to absorb rising costs without passing them on to our valued customers since our last price increase in September 2023.
However, due to ongoing currency challenges, supply chain disruptions, and increased manufacturing expenses, we are now at a point where a price adjustment on selected consumables is unavoidable.
We understand that price changes can be frustrating. Still, this necessary step will help us maintain our products’ quality, availability, and long-term sustainability while continuing to lead the industry in water-saving solutions.
ZeroFlush Price Update: What’s Changing?
Effective immediately, there will be a price increase on selected consumable items. However, we want to reassure you that these changes will not impact:
✅ Complete ZeroFlush urinal models – ZF101, ZF201, and ZF501
✅ All products sourced in Australia
✅ Previously well-stocked inventory, including our porcelain urinals
While some consumables will see adjustments, our core product pricing remains stable. This commitment ensures you can continue relying on ZeroFlush for future purchases without concern for sudden price hikes.
Why Is This Happening?
Several global and domestic factors have contributed to the need for a price adjustment, including:
The Rising Cost of International Sourcing
Many ZeroFlush components are manufactured in the United States, meaning fluctuating exchange rates directly affect procurement costs.
🔴 The Australian dollar has fallen below 61 cents and continues to decline.
🔴 International freight charges, primarily paid in USD, remain at record highs.
🔴 Raw material costs have surged due to ongoing supply chain constraints.
For example, a recent shipment of consumables that initially cost $2787.10 USD ballooned to $5023.28 AUD after factoring in:
- Freight charges: $1175.12 AUD
- Import fees: $499.51 AUD
- Unfavourable exchange rate: $0.6161 USD
Increasing Australian Government Regulatory Costs
Even after shipments arrive in Australia, government levies and compliance costs significantly impact our final pricing. These include:
💰 GST – Applied to the entire shipment value.
💰 Import Duty – A charge that disproportionately affects businesses like ours.
💰 Inspection Fees – Costs associated with ensuring compliance with Australian standards.
💰 Administrative Fees – Covering import processing and paperwork.
WaterMark Certification Costs Have Doubled
Maintaining WaterMark certification for ZeroFlush urinals is crucial for industry compliance. However, annual certification fees have doubled in recent years, adding to our operational costs. Despite this, enforcement remains weak, allowing non-compliant products into the market while we bear the burden of regulation.
